Details: "Who: Ages 13-17 What: Backpacking treks across Sonoma County backcountry When: June-July Why: Build backpacking skills, make new friends, connect with nature Cost: $400, includes transportation, meals, equipment, and instruction Scholarships: Full and partial available based on need Unplug, get outside, and connect with nature and each other! Join our experienced field specialists for a hiking adventure through the Sonoma County backcountry. Learn all about trip planning, including compass and map reading. Study the basics of water filtration and safety practices on the trail. Meet new people. Gain confidence in yourself and test your limits in a safe and supported environment. And camp out under the stars! Never backpacked before? You are welcome no matter what your skill level! We won’t be covering huge distances each day.
